DW: Saturnyn

The Saturnyn are a race of playable amphibious aliens in the Doctor Who Expansion. Due to their unique biology and perception filters, they tend to be mistaken for vampires in more primitive time periods.

Gameplay and Special Abilites[]

The Saturnyn are vulnerable to ultraviolet light, including that which is emitted by suns. Exposure will deal 5 (burn) damage per turn.

It is also important for them to remain hydrated, either by simply drinking water in large quantities or by draining fluids from other creatures. In average, non-arid environments, a Saturnyn must rehydrate twice during a standard day, or else lose five points strength. Saturnyn whose strength falls to zero are considered too weak for most actions. If this occurs health will be detracted at a rate of ten points per day until hydration.

Over a period of time, Saturnyn can drain the body fluids of a humanoid and replace them with its own, converting the affected creature into a Saturnyn.

In addition, Saturnyn possess the ability to breathe underwater.
