May I make a page for the Lentaa, as long as I keep the stats within reason? Although what about their forcefields - should I give them bonus health for that? And just so you know, I'll be absent most of today, because I am out doing stuff. Toothless100 - Talk to me 06:33, August 31, 2011 (UTC)
And with the Lentaa... I've given them about 200 health, cause of their forcefield, but I was thinking, could Lentaa have their own special damage reduction? Like 80, 90%? If they can, I'll lower the health they get. And also, how much health does Rothel get? And how much strength does Hectocapitus have? Toothless100 - Talk to me 09:50, September 1, 2011 (UTC)
Good. So do the Lentaa get the damage reduction, or just higher health than most others? And what about Rothel? Toothless100 - Talk to me 12:38, September 1, 2011 (UTC)
Few more questions:
Check out Magtarex and Storapede. They're massive beasties, but I haven't gone too over the top with their stats, have I?
What's Hectocapitus' Strength? (just so I can gauge how high hit strength should be on other species)
I've changed the venom system for Maly-Kauhu. Can you see if it's still alright? Also see the related blog.
Me again (there's a surprise). On the main page, we have an example saying how Hectocapitus has 500 health, but I'm not sure this is a good example of a 'high' - Montotheres, Storapedes and Rothel have 1000+, and Magtarexes have more than 500. Oops, forgot to sig. Believe it or not, it was me, Toothless :)
And me again. I had this idea for differing fire from a regular attack, considering I have dragons on Dragovia. I've written it on the Armadraggon article; can you see if it's OK? And what is Hector's hit strength. Toothless100 - Talk to me 10:53, September 3, 2011 (UTC)
Shouldn't we make pages of cities, towns and other location related stuff? Of course some planets don't have them but in highly populated places like Centro, there must be a hell lot of cities and towns. In addition to that, I suggest making names for every shop in every town/city. Oh yes, please approve this before I make this because I don't want the incident that happened on the Multiverses wiki to happen again.
Will you approve me on making cities in Centro. I wouldn't mind.
I wonder who on earth (or Skaro) might be writing this comment :)
Anyways, with a spaceport ticket, can you buy one to a certain place, e.g, a spaceport ticket to Skogland. Or do you just buy a spaceport ticket. And, are they reusable? Do I have to buy a new one for each planethop? And can I automatically go back to any planets I've already been on?
I think, if I had designed the game, I would say you buy spaceport tickets to somewhere, and can travel anywhere you've already been for free. However, to go to a new planet and access its quests, you must buy another ticket. So, what do you think? (and yep, Toothless is writing this) Toothless100 - Talk to me 15:52, September 5, 2011 (UTC)
Well, are we restarting this same quest, or doing a new one? BTW, I have just noticed that comment on Tunnels about you floundering around like a dead trout :) Toothless100 - Talk to me 17:37, October 29, 2011 (UTC)
OK. Can I be GameMaster? You can come up with a planet for it if you like. Toothless100 - Talk to me 17:40, October 29, 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, sounds cool! BTW, Deathbringer's better than Scaleface. Deathbringer is 165ft long and can conjure up tornadoes without being strained in the slightest. If anyone's a god, it's him :P Toothless100 - Talk to me 18:03, November 28, 2011 (UTC)
I think that would definitely be useful. Take our war with the Daleks. If there was another Dalek Civil War, and there were two groups of 50 or so.... that would go on for ever.
Mind you, I don't have any idea how troop mechanics could work. That's up to you :P Toothless100 - Talk to me 05:54, June 6, 2012 (UTC)
Meh. Maybe I do have an idea. A good one? That's for you to decide.
Anyways, so the entire group has the combined HP of all its individuals. (e.g a group of five daleks has 1000 health) They have the firepower of all its individuals. (again, and group of five daleks has 2000 (h) firepower). So, in a battle between each group, if a hit is scored, the combined damage is taken away. Once enough health has been taken away to kill an individual (for Daleks, 200+), that individual's firepower is subtracted from the unit (our dalek group now has 1600 firepower). The group always has the same armour as one individual (in the case of our Daleks, the group has 99% resistance to conventional and elec, 95% to heat and 30% to exotic)
If the groups carry different weapons, e.g and (elec.) one and an (expl.) one, then you get x damage (elec.) + y damage (expl.), and resistances to each type are counted.
If you can even follow that explanation, tell me if you think it's any good. Toothless100 - Talk to me 07:16, June 6, 2012 (UTC)
I've added the mechanics to my blog (linked to above), presented in what is hopefully a clearer fashion, and I've added something about how it works if members in the group have different HP. Toothless100 - Talk to me 06:34, June 7, 2012 (UTC)
I will be GMing a new, Doctor Who-themed, steampunky, super epic game. Holben will already be playing. Will you, too? ∞☉☽QE 00:07, June 18, 2012 (UTC)
Preferably a companion, if that's possible...I was thinking that maybe the Doctor and Sir Peter could become partners in time but we'll see what happens :) ∞☉☽QE 14:31, June 18, 2012 (UTC)
I think we can do something like that, although let me talk with Holben first. I have a question to ask him. ∞☉☽QE 14:45, June 18, 2012 (UTC)
He's not in chat. Oh well. But I was thinking since he's doing such a good job with GMing the character in other games he could be the Doctor and you along for the ride somehow. What do you think? (The game's setting makes it very difficult for player characters to start out on the planet.) ∞☉☽QE 14:48, June 18, 2012 (UTC)
Cool. The game will have either a little bit or a lot of crossover in it, depending on which way you look at it. I'm waiting for the look on Holben's face when he finds out what I'm using :P ∞☉☽QE 14:55, June 18, 2012 (UTC)
Hey, do you mind if I make the page now? We won't be starting for a while yet, but I'd just like to get it up there while I remember. ∞☉☽QE 15:32, June 18, 2012 (UTC)
Ok, I will. I don't know what character you should choose HolbenilordTalk₪ 16:02, June 18, 2012 (UTC)
In Carnifex Mechanica, the Dsarune will make notable appearances. What is their mindset like? And would it be uneasonable to suggest that they would use Thesserexes as beasts of war? ∞☉☽QE 17:48, July 1, 2012 (UTC)
To be honest I haven't been too active as of late either. Things have been fairly busy lately. I'm actually trying (i.e. waiting for a suitable time) to make Clockwork Catastrophe into an actual story, so doing both might be difficult...but we'll see.
'Fraid I can't start an actual game right now - I don't know how long I'll be on this afternoon and in case it isn't a larger amount of time I don't want to risk typing a lot of stuff up and then losing it.
I've made the game page, Game: The Lost Planet. If you can make a character page for The Shrew, I can make some final adjustments to fanon creature stats (so that the game is not too easy or hard) and then I'll be ready to start. Although, just a hint, having even one companion or ally will make the game A LOT easier, without being too easy. If you don't have any allies, I'll either have to give you some, or give you some extra medkits :P Toothless100 - Talk to me 19:44, June 17, 2013 (UTC)
OK, I'll get started. Do you have any preferences on the species of her companion? Toothless100 - Talk to me 15:43, June 18, 2013 (UTC)
Maybe post it on MC's wall on Community Central, too? -Styro
I don't think that's the best idea. If more of his "friends" show up then things could get ugly. I would suggest maybe waiting a little while and then bring things like a chat policy up later, when things have simmered down a little bit.
